Isabella has accepted a tennis scholarship to Grand Canyon University, Texas, USA next year. This is a big step in Isabella’s development and recognition of all the hard work that she has put into her sport of tennis.
Grand Canyon University – home of the “Antelopes” will be Isabella’s home for the next 4 years whilst she studies Education – the aim is to be primary teacher of PE teacher as the backup plan to tennis.
Tennis has played a big part in Isabella’s life, with her dad, Andrew [better known as Crossie], being her coach. Andrew is also one of the wonderful BAS coaches, alongside Head Coach – Calan McCarthy.
Isabella has been an exemplary athlete of BAS, always turning up to training, unless she was playing in UTR ranking tournaments, playing for Victoria or competing overseas. Isabella was and will continue to be a role model to our current tennis athletes for years to come.
We wish Isabella all the best and hopefully we can see her at the Australian Open or one of the other big 4 tournaments. We will all follow Isabella’s career with great interest.
